Additional Notes: The Old Snowbasin Road, once the primary route to Snowbasin Resort, is now accessible from the city of Huntsville. However, prior to the 2002 Winter Olympics, a new road was constructed to provide access to the resort. Unlike the new road, the Old Snowbasin Road does not lead all the way to the top and stops approximately midway. This limitation stems from the road being built on unstable soil, causing it to shift every winter. Consequently, travel along the Old Snowbasin Road is restricted from November to March.

Old Snowbasin Road ranks among my favorite Utah photography locations.

Old Snowbasin Road has long been a muse for photographers, artists, and writers. The ever-changing play of light and shadows, the interplay of colors, and the sense of tranquility found in the area evoke a sense of inspiration and creativity. Many have attempted to capture the road's essence through their lens, canvas, or pen, immortalizing its beauty in their art. Originally constructed in the early 1900s, Old Snowbasin Road served as a vital transportation route for miners and early settlers in the area. It played a crucial role in the development of the Snowbasin ski resort, which was chosen as a venue for the 2002 Winter Olympics, highlighting its importance on an international stage. The road's historical significance is evident in the remnants of old structures and mining artifacts that can still be found along the route, offering a glimpse into the region's past.
