Additional Notes: Great location for indoor portraits during cold winter months. A great backup plan in the case of inclement weather. If you are wanting the majority of your photos done indoors I prefer to use the natural light that comes in through the windows up above. The best time of day to start photos for that is 12:00 – 2:30 p.m. during Winter and Autumn months and 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. during Spring and Summer. Great location for formal and semi formal attire.

The history of the Utah State Capitol is steeped in both triumph and tribulation. Constructed between 1912 and 1916, the Capitol was designed by architect Richard K.A. Kletting, who sought to create a building that embodied the grandeur of classical architecture while incorporating unique elements inspired by Utah's natural beauty.

The Utah State Capitol is a marvel of architectural design, boasting neoclassical elements reminiscent of ancient Greek and Roman structures. The grand dome, towering 285 feet above the city.

As you approach the building, you're greeted by meticulously landscaped grounds and intricate detailing on the façade. The interior is equally impressive, featuring stunning murals and majestic halls adorned with historical artifacts and artwork.
