Surprise Proposals

Ryan’s Proposal at Jordan Pines Campground

Ryan and his soon-to-be fiancée arrived in Utah from Miami. Having reached out to me, Ryan hired my services to capture his unexpected proposal. Collaboratively, we brainstormed and crafted the proposal you witness today. If you're considering a proposal in Utah, I'd be delighted to document your moment and assist in the planning process. This proposal took place on a chilly December day, amidst the snowy mountains of Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah.

Zach’s Proposal at Log Haven Waterfall

Zach, visiting from another state, reached out to me for assistance with his surprise proposal. Arriving at the Log Haven Waterfall 15-20 minutes ahead of Zach, I brought my professional camera and assumed the role of a photographer focused on capturing another subject. Upon Zach's arrival, he approached me, asking if I could snap a quick photo of him and Maddie on his phone. After obliging, Zach then asked me about having a few photos taken with my higher-quality camera, expressing his willingness to compensate me. The first photo in in the gallery above captures that moment. Following that, I captured an "adventure-themed" image of Zach with hands raised, shouting towards the waterfall. Then, I invited Maddie to do the same, and it was during this moment that Zach knelt down, ready with the ring.

David’s Proposal at Antelope Island State Park

David reached out to me, and collaboratively, we crafted a plan for his proposal at Buffalo Point in Antelope Island State Park. The journey to Buffalo Point involves a brief 1-mile hike to reach the summit, and I made the trek ahead of time to prepare. David had informed Breanna that they were embarking on a hike to enjoy the sunset.

In our discussions, David and I coordinated the details for documenting his proposal, envisioning a picturesque moment with the two of them silhouetted against the setting sun. As David and Breanna absorbed the beauty of the sunset, he seized the opportune moment and asked Breanna to become his bride. The natural and scenic backdrop of Buffalo Point added a touch of magic to this significant chapter in their lives.

Brett’s Proposal at McPolin Farm

Brett and Kellen took a winter stroll through Park City at the enchanting McPolin Farm. Brett and I meticulously discussed and planned his proposal, ensuring every detail was thoughtfully considered. The surprise proposal became a cherished addition to their winter vacation. Park City is one of my favorite locations to photograph surprise proposals. One of the hallmark attractions of Park City in winter is its world-renowned ski resorts. With pristine slopes catering to all skill levels, it's a haven for both seasoned skiers and those eager to learn. The powdery snow that blankets the mountains creates an amazing landscape, making it a top destination for winter sports enthusiasts.

Nicolas’ Proposal at Little Dell Reservoir

When photographing proposals, I equip myself with two cameras, each with two focal lengths. This setup enables me to capture both close-up shots and distant scenic photos during the proposal moment. Additionally, I provide detailed instructions beforehand to ensure you know exactly what to expect and how to proceed.
